Real Striker Van Nistelrooy Out for the Season

Real Madrid striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy will miss the rest of this season after having surgery on his right knee, the club said on this Thursday. The 32 years Dutchman went to the United States this week to confer with surgeon Richard Steadman. After the consult a medical report on RealMadrid.com said,
“The estimated time he will be out of action is between six and nine months, depending on his evolution.”
Van Nistelrooy received the blow on his knee while playing against Juventus in the Champions League three weeks ago. Now in the middle of league Real Madrid staying in a poor spell. And after the injury of Nistelrooy it already means Van Nistelrooy will not play again in the 2008-09 season for his club.
Real Madrid is always a big and fulfill club of quality players and they performed well in all types of competition. But in this year they are struggling through a poor spell of form and are already missing key players including central midfielder Ruben de la Red Dutch winger Arjen Robben, and defender Pepe. Nistelrooy was Real’s top scorer in his first season with 25 league goals and equaled a club record of scoring in seven matches in chain. He scored 16 league goals last season and extended his agreement to keep him in Madrid until 2010. Real striker Gonzalo Higuain said,
It’s very sad because Ruud is a very important player.” He also added that, “We hope he will be back with us as soon as possible because he is a great player and a very good person.
So, his injury is a real problem for Madrid. Cause Real Madrid now fall in big crisis of strikers. The club spent the entire summer chasing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United and ignored to sign another center forward. For this reason they have already lost their great striker Robinho. Now they have only two quality strikers Gonzalo Higuain and Raul. So what will now doing the Real’s administrators, it will be great to see?
