The 32 years Dutchman went to the United States this week to confer with surgeon Richard Steadman. After the consult a medical report on RealMadrid.com said,

“The estimated time he will be out of action is between six and nine months, depending on his evolution.”

Van Nistelrooy received the blow on his knee while playing against Juventus in the Champions League three weeks ago. Now in the middle of league Real Madrid staying in a poor spell.
