December 28th, 2008 admin
Inter Milan will not face Manchester United until the end of coming February, but coach Jose Mourinho has already declared that his forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is better than Cristiano Ronaldo. Cristiano Ronaldo may have been crowned winner of England, Europe and the world as well as picking up the Ballon d’Or this year but Ex Chelsea and present Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho still doesn’t think he’s the best.
Ex Chelsea coach insists his forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a better player than Manchester United leading light Cristiano Ronaldo. Mourinho directly told BBC Sport that,
Ronaldo is a good player but he is certainly not the best. He also added that, He deserved the Golden Ball award because his team won the Champions League and the Premier League. But, for me, Ibrahimovic is the best.
With the coach at the present in charge of Inter Milan of Italy – Manchester’s opponents in the last 16 of the Champions League next spring – Mourinho has started the mind games. Mourinho’s comments are sure to fan the flames ahead of Inter’s clash with Manchester United. For attacking the Ronaldo, Mourinho said there were more than a few players better than the Manchester United winger.
When I think of how a player should be, I think of (AC Milan’s) Kaka, Ibrahimovic and (Barcelona’s Lionel) Messi, Messi is a phenomenon, but in my opinion, Ibrahimovic is the best. Mourinho told Italy’s Raidue radio.
Yet Ronaldo doesn’t give any comment against Mourinho’s. Ronaldo will get the opportunity to show his skills when Manchester United and Inter will meet in the Champions League second round.
Inter’s boss not only appreciated his present striker Ibrahimovic but also pleased about his formal club striker Drogba.
“Drogba is more than a player for me; he’s a part of me, an extension of the coach on the pitch.”
