Pakistan is one of the co-host for the World Cup Cricket 2011 as is scheduled to be held in the four sub-continent countries Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. However, the current political and security scenario in Pakistan raises a question is it possible to organize world cup match in Pakistan. Several teams are already expressing their worry over the current situation in Pakistan. Many think that Pakistan may not get to host any matches of the event. Eventuality if it is true the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would lose more than 12 million dollars.

One of the PCB official said: “Pakistan has been given 16 matches including one semi-final. This means the board will get a total of 12 million dollars for hosting the World Cup matches from the ICC.” He said that when he was talking to media personnel.
A number of teams have refused to tour Pakistan by reason of precarious security condition in the countryside. Moreover, the recent terror attack on the Lankan cricket team has made the matter worse for the PCB.

Earlier, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has scheduled 16 World Cup matches to Pakistan, whereas 22 matches allow for India. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have been awarded to host nine and seven matches respectively. If the scheduled matches would be not held in Pakistan then the match can be shifted in another host country.

Rafael NadalRafael Nadal seems to have started his domination era over the World of tennis. He has steadily gained ground against Federer and pushed him from the top spot of the ATP rankings. Everything reached the climax in January at the Australian Open 2009. Rafa grabbed the first Grand Slam of the year defeating Roger Federer on hard court too. This was the only surface where the 27-year-old former Number 1 was still having a supremacy against the Spaniard. More, Federer couldn’t control his nerves and burst into tears during the prize award ceremony.

The Indian Wells is the first tournament after the Australian Open that schedules both stars on the main table. The Californian tournament is the first tennis Masters event of the year. It gathered the creme of the world’s tennis stars. Last year’s edition was won by Novak Djokovic.

The tournament currently reached the phase of the last 16 and the Big 4 group is bidding for another title. Rafa Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray have all qualified for this phase and are favorites to win the title this year. Of course, Rafael Nadal is the top seed and also main favorite to grab the title. Will we have another Nadal vs Federer showdown? Who can stop the Spaniard? Mourinho wants the Old Trafford Job

March 9th, 2009 admin Soccer 0

Marinho and FergusonThe Red Devils are being unstoppable and performing at their best in this season. At this moment, the man behind the wheel Sir Alex Ferguson wants to quit at Old Traffort.

Mourinho’s Inter Milan travel to Manchester United in this Wednesday, for the return prop of their last-16 Champions League fight with the Red Devils. Having drawn the first crutch 0-0 at the San Siro, Inter will imagine their chances of creating a major upset by dumping Ferguson’s men out of the competition they won last May in Moscow.

Mourinho’s such performance puts him under the spotlight and creating more weight to rumors that he is been targeted as Ferguson’s replacement.

Mourinho told News of the World that “I have big jobs left in me that is for sure – but I can’t commit to which ones,”

He also added “If you want me to rule out ever being Manchester United manager I can’t. Special clubs need special managers so in theory it could work, but nobody knows what the future is in football. The England national team wanted me as coach and that is the biggest job in England.”

He also commented on Ferguson’s retire and said “How much time I can’t say, Sir Alex doesn’t look like he is ready to stop. But when you are managing a winning team you don’t want to stop – and if you have health then there is no reason to.”

In such declaration, Morinho may lead the Red Devils to the battle field. However, his heavyweight personalities in the English game are unsure as to whether or not it would ever happen.
